Romans 9:8 Pt. II
I don’t usually do this, but I was directed to a brilliant addition to my previous post: the kids of the PS22 Chorus. It seems I’m coming very late to their story, but they’re coming into my life right when I’ve been spending time considering the child as musical conduit. Their versions of modern-day hits (& some outdated ones as well) have gained them a ton of national attention, & as soon as they lay down a limited-edition record they could be the next Langley Schools Music Project. The joy, the innocence, the revelation of life through music is evident in their viral capturings. Tune in, relinquish maturation.
“Viva La Vida” (Coldplay)
“If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out” (Cat Stevens) [Ooof - Harold & Maude, don't get me started]
…& easily the strangest one (& my favorite): “I’ll Be Your Mirror” (The Velvet Underground)
